food’s future summit – win this weekend’s hottest ticket!

Food, food glorious food! We all love a wonderful meal, but these days it’s not only about which restaurants to hit, it’s about what we should be eating when we get there. I’ve been binge-watching What the Health (we should all be vegan), Consumed (we need to be vigilant about GMO) and Cowspiracy (while looking after animals and the environment) recently, and there’s so much to consider.

So, perfect timing that this Saturday sees Foodie magazine’s first Food’s Future Summit, bringing together opinion-leaders in food, the business of food and lifestyle trends, venture capitalists looking for the next big food investment and, well, anyone at all interested in food, to take part in talks and workshops.

The day-long summit at Eaton House Central will discuss food issues and challenges. Plus what’s the next big thing in Hong Kong’s foodie scene and which are the industry’s main disruptors? Experts will discuss sustainability, zero waste and urban farming. We’ll be introduced to insect snacks and the ‘beyond meat’ movement.

Like all good food events there will be food on hand, courtesy of nood and bakery Cedele, meal delivery company Fete Up and Happy Cow’s awesome dairy free ice creams. And the market showcase will be up and running in the afternoon for browsing the latest products and gadgets, satisfying our retail appetites.

I have one free ticket to give away – worth HK$725.25 for the full day! First person to email me on monster_n@yahoo.com with the correct address of the venue gets it! (I’ll only reply to the winner, so apologies in advance to all those who aren’t lucky!)
